Bell and glass pitcher resonance puzzle (Septimo Arte bar)
Updated 17 Oct 2026 · Game version: launch version (Oct 16, 2026)
The answer in one line
Collect the 4 bottles, then pour liquid into (or take it out of) the giant glass pitcher, hitting it after each change, until its note sounds like the bell on the counter. Ring the bell: the pitcher shatters and drops the USB Cable. The right amount differs per run.
Missing something, or nothing happens? The steps are below.
Where the puzzle is
The bar, Septimo Arte, and the street outside it are behind the blue symbol door to the left of the elevator on the 3rd floor.
A bell stands on the bar counter and a giant glass pitcher sits in the bar. Ringing the bell plays a note; striking the pitcher plays the note it has with its current amount of liquid. Get the two to match and the bell shatters the glass.
The combination that works is not the same in every run (X-Rey had to find it by trial and error), so don't copy a fixed recipe. See the section below on matching your own bell.

What you need
- Triangular Stone (blue): from outside the 2nd-floor bedroom window; it opens the blue doors on the 2nd and 3rd floors
- Bottle x4: 1 on the street outside the bar, 2 inside the bar, 1 in the bar bathroom
- Any weapon: to strike the pitcher
Exact spots for each one are on Items and collectibles.
Step by step
Open the 3rd-floor blue door
Use the Triangular Stone on the blue door left of the 3rd-floor elevator. It leads out to the street and the bar.
Collect the four bottles
One bottle is on the street, two are inside the bar and the last one is in the bar's bathroom.
Ring the bell and listen
Ring the bell on the bar counter and remember its note.

Frame from “Tenebris Somnia - All Puzzles & Solutions Guide” by iampanax. Watch at 10:26 Tune the pitcher
Pour a bottle into the giant pitcher, then hit the pitcher with your weapon and compare its note with the bell. Use an empty bottle to take liquid back out. Keep adjusting until the two sound the same.
Ring the bell again
When the notes match, ring the bell. The pitcher shatters. Pick up the USB Cable from the pieces.
How to read your own clue
Where it appears. The clue is a sound, not something written down. The bell on the bar counter is the target note. The giant glass pitcher is the note you control: strike it with your weapon and you hear its pitch for the liquid it holds right now.
What it looks like. iampanax’s guide labels the four bottles I, II, IV and VIII. Treat those as names for telling the bottles apart; whether the numbers stand for amounts of liquid is not confirmed.
How to turn it into the input. Work in small steps and strike the pitcher after every change:
- Ring the bell so the target note is fresh in your ears.
- Pour one bottle into the pitcher and strike it.
- Compare: closer to the bell or further away? Add another bottle, or take some out with an empty bottle, and strike again.
- Keep the change that brought the note closer, undo the one that made it worse.
With a real glass, more liquid gives a lower note. We have not confirmed that the game follows this rule, so trust your ears over the rule.
How to know it worked. Ring the bell again. If the notes match, the pitcher shatters on its own and the USB Cable is left in the pieces. If it stays whole, the notes are still off; keep adjusting.
The working combination in iampanax’s run is only an example; yours will differ. The USB Cable is needed for the projector room padlock.
If it doesn’t work
- I used the same bottles as a video and nothing happens.
- The working amount changes from run to run. Match your own bell by ear instead of copying a recipe.
- I poured in too much.
- Use an empty bottle on the pitcher to take liquid out, then strike it again.
- I can't find the fourth bottle.
- Check all three places: the street outside, the bar room (two bottles) and the bar bathroom.
