Lead Fly puzzle (tile path and fly statue)
Updated 17 Oct 2026 · Game version: launch version (Oct 16, 2026)
The answer in one line
Walk every tile of the path in the first room and smash the statue when it turns gold, record that path, walk the same shape on the second room's grid until that statue turns gold too, then take the Lead Fly and use it on the right-hand door.
Your path is the one in your own first room. How to read and copy it is below.
Where the puzzle is
The Desiderium is the corrupted version of the building that you enter after meeting Sanguis on the film set. This puzzle is on its 1st floor: take the door on the left, then the next door on the left again.
There are two rooms. The first one has a walkway made of tiles, the second has a full grid of tiles. Walking the right path makes the fly statue in that room turn gold.
Not sure you’re in the right place? Search for your room in Quick find tool.
What you need
- Nothing to bring. A way to record the first room's path helps: a quick sketch on paper or a photo with your phone.
Exact spots for each one are on Items and collectibles.
Step by step
First room: walk every tile of the path
Follow the tiled walkway and step on every single tile; the game is strict and a skipped tile doesn't count. When the fly statue turns gold, smash it.

Before moving on, sketch the shape of the walkway or photograph the screen. You will need the exact shape in the next room.
Second room: walk the same path on the grid
The second room is a full grid. Walk the shape of the first room's walkway on it. When the statue here turns gold, smash it.
Take the Lead Fly and open the fly door
A room opens up. Take the Lead Fly from the Julia statue inside, then use it on the door on the right.
How to read your own clue
Where the clue is. The clue is the first room itself: its tiled walkway is the path. There is no note or code to find; the shape of the walkway is the answer for the second room.
What it looks like. A strip of floor tiles that turns corners through an otherwise dark room, with a fly statue on the wall. This puzzle is flagged as randomized in our data, so don’t copy someone else’s shape; use the one your first room shows.
How to record it. iampanax photographed the first room with the in-game phone and checked the picture in the second room. A rough sketch on paper or a photo of your screen with your real phone works just as well. Note where the path starts, every turn, and how many tiles each straight part has.
How to turn it into the input. In the second room, find the matching start point on the grid and walk the same shape: the same straight runs, the same turns, the same number of tiles. Step on every tile of the route.
How you know it worked. The statue in the room turns gold. That is your cue to smash it. If it stays plain, recheck the route against your record and walk it again.
If it doesn’t work
- I walked the path but the first statue isn't gold.
- You missed a tile, probably a corner. Walk the whole walkway again and make sure you step on every tile, including the ends.
- The grid statue won't turn gold.
- Compare your route with your sketch or photo of the first room, square by square. The shape has to match the first room's walkway, with no tiles added or skipped.
- I forgot the first room's path.
- Go back to the first room and look at the walkway again; record it this time before you return to the grid.
