Electrical Current puzzle (switch room in the film school)

Where the puzzle is

The room is in the film school, behind the green door past the trap. Cables on the floor light up when they carry power, and the gate only stays raised while a switch feeds it.

Only the first step is clearly shown in a frame we checked. The rest is pieced together from iampanax's full walkthrough and the Gamer Social Club text guide, so treat the exact switch order as likely rather than certain.

What you need

• Nothing to bring: the Piece of Cable you need is inside this room

Step by step

1. Raise the gate with the bottom-left switch

   Flip the bottom-left switch on and watch the lit cables. Wait until the gate has gone all the way up before you move.

   

2. Switch off and run for the bottom-right switch

   Turn the bottom-left switch off and immediately run to the bottom-right switch, reaching it before the gate comes down. Using it opens the box at the top of the room, which holds a Piece of Cable.

3. Fit the cable to the upper-left switch

   Use the Piece of Cable on the upper-left switch so it is connected.

4. Power the circuit again and take the RCA cable

   Go back to the bottom-left switch and turn it on once more. With the extra cable in place the current reaches the statue and it falls apart. Pick up the Yellow RCA Cable from the pieces; you need it for the cinematography camera next.

If it doesn’t work

The gate closes before I get to the bottom-right switch.

Let the gate rise completely before you switch off, then go straight for the right switch without stopping.

I turned the bottom-left switch on again but the statue is still standing.

The Piece of Cable has to be fitted to the upper-left switch first. If you don't have the cable yet, the box at the top hasn't opened; redo the timed run.
