We Were Here Tomorrow Glove Training Cable Puzzle Solution (power the four coloured cables)

Where the puzzle is

After Research & Development you both enter the Prototype Room (sign: "CAUTION: SUIT UP BEFORE ENTERING") and get your gloves. One glove fires goo cubes you can stand on or drop on targets; the other pulls things in. Q recalls your shot.

The lift button at the start can't be pressed by hand. The player with the cube glove shoots it while the other stands on the lift.

The test room past the lift has red, yellow, blue and green cables running across the floor and up the walls, each to a light or a device.

What you need

• Both players, both gloves. You can only have one cube out at a time; press Q to recall it.

Step by step

1. Both: follow the cables and name them

   Walk each cable from its light to where it ends. Say out loud where each colour goes: "red goes to a floor plate, yellow to a button on the wall, blue up to a high target, green to the door".

2. Red cable: weigh down the plate

   One player stands on the plate at the end of the red cable. Alone you are not heavy enough. In our session the other player's glove made the standing player heavier, and the red light came on.

3. Yellow cable: shoot the wall button

   The yellow cable ends at a button you can't reach. The player with the cube glove shoots it. Say "yellow is on" when its light changes.

4. Blue cable: cube on the high target

   The blue cable climbs the wall to a high target that needs a cube. You must shoot it from the ledge. Arrows on the wall by the door point up: put a cube under your partner, they jump onto it and up to the ledge, then shoot a cube onto the target.

5. Green: the door opens

   With red, yellow and blue lit, the green cable powers the door and it opens.

6. Magnetronic Transit: start the train together

   Next is the transit station. Both players pull the long handle at the same time (pull, don't push). Past it are more wires and hatches: one player powers the yellow wire, the other presses the button it leads to, then a last pull together sends you on. You hear "Welcome to the Norček Magnetronic Transit System" and ride to the Exotic Matter Laboratory.

If it doesn’t work

The plate won't stay down.

One player is too light. Try both standing on it, or have the other glove's shot make the standing player heavier.

I can't make a second cube.

Only one cube at a time. Press Q to recall the old one first.

I can't reach the ledge for the blue target.

Look for the arrows on the wall near the door. Your partner puts a cube under you as a step; jump on it, then up.

Which colour does each glove belong to?

It depends on who picked which glove, and our videos don't settle it. Describe the glove by what it does: cubes or pulling.

The transit handle doesn't move.

Both players have to pull it at the same time. Our players were both pushing at first.
