We Were Here Tomorrow two-player pressure plate with heavy goo (magnetic stabiliser)
Updated 21 Oct 2026 · Game version: Launch build (October 2026) · By the Indie Walkthrough crew
The answer in one line
Red stands on the pressure plate; yellow shoots red with the goo-cube gun to make them heavy, so the plate counts them as two people. Shoot again to undo it.
The logic is the same every time; nothing is randomized. The rooms around it (pad charging, tilting platforms, drone levers) are covered below.

Where the puzzle is
Right after the symbol grid and dials, in the Assembly Line gravity rooms. The explorers are still in separate chambers.
First comes a curved room with a zigzag pad on the floor that has to be charged section by section, and a console with a button.
Then the plate room: a pressure plate in one room, a small hatch from the other side looking into it. A voice line mentions the 'magnetic stabiliser' once you are through.

What you need
- Goo-cube gun (yellow explorer in our session)
- Pull gun (red explorer in our session)
Step by step
Charge the pad, section by section
One explorer moves along the zigzag pad while the other presses the button on the console; each press charges the next part of the pad, which lights up blue. Call out when you are on the lit part: "I'm on the blue bit, press it."

Red: stand on the pressure plate
The plate wants the weight of two people, but only one of you can get to it. Red stands on it. One of you may first need to open a vent for the other to get through.

Yellow aims the goo-cube gun at red and fires. Red now counts as two people and the plate goes down. On the walkie, red: "I'm on the plate, make me heavy." Yellow: "Shooting you now." Shoot red again afterwards to make them normal.

Cross the tilting gravity rooms
Next is traversal rather than a puzzle: dark rooms that tilt as you move, platforms, and a grate with tall slits. Use goo cubes in the cube holes to move on, and watch for cracks in the floor.

Both: pull your levers at the drone terminal
A small screen shows a drone with two checkboxes. Each explorer pulls the yellow-grip lever on their own console; one box ticks per pull. When both are ticked the bridge opens. Say "pulled, one box ticked" so your partner knows it is their turn.

In the glowing pink room after the bridge, one lever lowers one explorer, then both pull their levers. An announcement says the rift instability is at 96%, and you move on to the Optics area with the laser and crystal puzzle.

If it doesn’t work
- The plate won't go down with one person on it.
- It needs two people's weight. Yellow has to shoot red with the goo-cube gun first.
- Red is still heavy and can't move properly.
- Yellow shoots red again to remove the heavy goo.
- Only one checkbox ticks at the drone terminal.
- Each lever ticks one box. Both explorers have to pull their own lever.
