We Were Here Tomorrow Gravity Puzzle Solution (Office of Tomorrow three lights maze)
Updated 21 Oct 2026 · Game version: Launch build (October 2026) · By the Indie Walkthrough crew
The answer in one line
Light the three lights by working three levers together: rotate the red L-shaped floor so your partner can climb the red escalator (light 1), reach the blue zone through the door at the end of the yellow wire and use the two-person double lever, then shoot the button behind the glass (light 2), and hold the purple door open while your partner climbs into a new area to the last lever (light 3).
This is the last puzzle our sources reach. The steps are pieced together from two streams with no clean video, so treat them as a route, not exact positions.

Where the puzzle is
After the ring symbol door. A voice welcomes you to the office of tomorrow. The building is white and purple with a plant atrium, a waterfall, red-carpet corridors and stairs, and many rooms are turned on their side or upside down: papers lie on walls and ceilings.
Signs you can use to talk about places: P.A.T. CONTROL ROOM over a door in the lobby, and GRAVITONICS over a door in a corridor. Floor zones are coloured purple, red and blue.
Not sure you’re in the right place? Search for your room in Quick find tool.
What you need
- Both guns. In our sources the yellow explorer carried the cube glove the whole way through this area.
- Patience on the walkie-talkie: up and down mean different things for each of you. Name places by colour and sign, not by direction.
Step by step
Both: find the three-light panel
Explore together first. Somewhere in the start area is a panel with three lights. Pulling the right lever turns one on, which tells you that you need three levers in total.

Light 1: rotate the red L-shaped floor
One explorer finds a lever that turns a big red L-shaped floor. Turn it so the other can get onto the red escalator and climb up. The player below can also shoot a flap or button to lift the other onto a purple panel. Tell each other when the floor has stopped before stepping on.

Light 2: reach the blue zone
A button sits behind glass. One explorer has to stand on a blue platform in the blue zone to open the glass, and the other shoots the button. It is not a cube target. To reach the blue zone, follow the yellow wire up to a room in the purple zone, shoot through its window to open the blue door, then use the double lever: it needs both of you pulling at once. Once the floor has turned, shoot the button.

Light 3: hold the purple door
One explorer pulls a lever that holds a door open at the bottom of some purple steps. The other goes back to the purple T-junction where they were lifted onto the purple panel, turns left instead, keeps going and climbs into a new area. The last lever is there.

Both: go to the heart of the machine
With all three lights on, head through to a large control hall with a ring-shaped energy core. The announcement says the Rift instability is now at 87%. This felt like a checkpoint in our sources.

If it doesn’t work
- There is an empty cube hole by the blue door. Do we need it?
- In our sources it only opened the blue door from the other side. It is a shortcut, not one of the three lights.
- We opened a door and can't tell if it's the right one.
- Check the three-light panel after every lever. If no new light came on, put the floor or door back and try the next lever.
- One of us is lost.
- Meet at the P.A.T. Control Room sign or at the purple T-junction and restart the directions from there. Say colours and signs, not up or down.
- Is this the same in every playthrough?
- Unknown. Our only footage is one co-op session; the no-commentary playthrough stops earlier.
- What comes after this?
- This is where our sources stop. The Rift instability readout of 87% suggests most of the game is still ahead. Later puzzles are coming to this guide as playthroughs appear.
