We Were Here Tomorrow warehouse lift, platforms and flap (Exotic Matter Lab)

Being written. Parts in [brackets] are placeholders, not answers.

The answer in one line

One explorer keeps weight on the pressure plate (standing on it or with a goo cube) while the other pulls the flap or lift. [Exact order of plates, flaps and lifts still being checked.]

This page is still being written: only the panels and the lift are confirmed from video so far.

Where the puzzle is

You arrive by train at the station marked EXOTIC MATTER LABORATORY. From here the two explorers are split into separate corridors.

The Warehouse rooms have a wall panel for three extendable platforms (buttons 1, 2 and 3 next to a round orange button), a cargo lift and a vertical lift shaft.

A second, shorter lift section follows and leads into the fuse and key-card room.

What you need

  • The goo-cube gun (yellow explorer in our session) for a cube on the plate or under a closing door
  • The pull gun (red explorer in our session)

Step by step

  1. Find the platform panel

Look for the wall panel with three numbered down-arrow buttons, 1 2 3, beside a round orange button. It controls three extendable platforms. [Which platforms actually extend is not confirmed: the players say only number 1 works.]

  2. [Who] holds the pressure plate, [who] pulls the flap

One explorer stays on the pressure plate (or leaves a goo cube on it) while the other pulls the flap or pulley. Do not pull while your partner is still standing over the gap. On the walkie: [exact call-outs to be added].

  3. Ride the lift

Use the cargo lift to reach the shaft with platform 1 at the bottom. [Lift controls and who operates them still to be checked.]

  4. Second lift: weight it with a goo cube

The yellow explorer (goo-cube gun) is the one who can make a cube to weigh down the second lift; a toggle moves it up and down. [Not seen on screen yet.]

If it doesn’t work

Platforms 2 and 3 don't do anything.
In the session we watched the players concluded only platform 1 works. [To be confirmed.]
The flap dropped my partner.
Keep weight on the plate before anyone pulls. A goo cube on the plate frees the second explorer.
Do we need the first lift at all?
[Unclear: the players in our session were not sure it was needed.]
